Upcoming IPO – The market is looking forward to 2022 after a phenomenally successful year in 2021 that shattered several fundraising records. With several huge brands queued up to tap primary markets, such as LIC and NSE, the prospect for the coming year appears very bright.
Unsurprisingly, some very prominent brands backed by venture capital and private equity groups are on the list of expected IPOs in 2022. Startups strongly backed by venture capital companies are also included in this list of new IPOs. While some startups tested the waters in 2021, including Zomato, CarTrade, and Nykaa, many more are on the list of expected IPOs in 2022.

HDFC Bank subsidiary HDB Financial Services is also expected to go public this year, making it the group’s fifth entity to do so. Delhivery – Most interesting of upcoming IPOs in 2022
Unicorn in logistics Delhivery is just another name to add to the list of exciting IPOs scheduled for 2022. According to the draught prospectus submitted with SEBI, the upcoming IPO will contain a fresh issue of shares worth INR5,000 crore, as well as an offer for sale to existing shareholders for up to INR2,460 crore (OFS). Carlyle and SoftBank are two of the most prominent selling stockholders.
The company has yet to acquire approval from SEBI, hence the exact date of the next impending IPO is unknown. Nonetheless, the offer is most likely to be launched in the second part of the year.
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC)
The LIC IPO is without a doubt the most anticipated IPO in India this year. The insurance behemoth is expected to be worth more than INR13 lakh crores. Given the company’s enormous scale, even a 5% equity stake in the offer is anticipated to result in a float of INR65,000 crore. To handle the size of this upcoming IPO, various regulatory and market reforms will be required.
Paytm’s IPO currently holds the title of India’s largest public offering, with a size of INR18,300 crore indicating a significant disparity between the two IPOs. This magnitude, on the other hand, is expected to aid retail investors with firm allotment.
